Multiple Choice: unscored polling

Sometimes you just want to know what people think — not test them. Multiple Choice is a straightforward vote that builds into a live bar chart, with no right answer required.

This is the workhorse of the whole slide library: reach for it any time you have a handful of options and want to see where the room lands. It fits a training session asking "Which of these three tools do you already use?", an all-hands asking people to pick a priority for next quarter, or a classroom checking which reading resonated most. Because there's no correct answer baked in, nobody feels tested — it reads as a genuine poll, which tends to get more honest participation than a quiz-style question would.

If the two options you're offering are natural opposites — Option A vs. Option B, with nothing in between — This or That is usually the cleaner fit: it's built specifically for a two-way split and presents faster. Reach for Multiple Choice instead whenever you have three or more options, or whenever you want to allow more than one selection per person.

1. Add the slide

   Select New Slide → Multiple Choice under Interaction.

2. Write the question

   Fill in the Question field with what you're asking the room.

3. Add your options

   Use Add Option for as many choices as you need. Keep option text short — it has to be readable at a glance on the results chart.

4. Decide how votes behave

   In Settings, turn on Select multiple options to let people choose more than one answer, and toggle Show in results to control whether the live chart is visible to participants as votes come in or only revealed afterward.

5. Go live and watch results build

   Once you present the slide, each vote lands on the bar chart instantly — a good moment to narrate what you're seeing rather than reading it silently.
