Learning becomes memorable when curiosity meets opportunity!
Slidea recently conducted a General Knowledge ice-breaking quiz session for the 3rd year BCA students at St. Louis College for the Deaf in Adyar, Chennai. The goal of this session was to create a fun and engaging learning experience using interactive quizzes on Slidea.
For many students, this was their first time participating in a live interactive quiz through their phones.
The result was a session filled with excitement, curiosity, and meaningful learning moments.
The Experience
From the moment the quiz started, the room came alive with energy. Students eagerly joined the session using their phones and began answering questions live.
Each question brought a wave of reactions. When students got the correct answer, their excitement was visible. Smiles, laughter, and celebratory gestures filled the room. When the answer was wrong, there were playful reactions and determination to get the next one right.
Watching the students enjoy the learning process was a very personal and touching experience for our team.
For them, it was not just a quiz, but was a new way of learning together.
Why Slidea Worked So Well?
Students at St. Louis College learn in a unique environment where traditional hearing-based teaching methods can be challenging.
Slidea helped simplify this experience by focusing on visual and interactive learning.
Students could:
- Read questions clearly on their screens
- Respond instantly using their phones
- See results visually and immediately
- Participate equally with their classmates
This made the learning process simple, engaging, and inclusive.
The way students quickly responded to each question also showed how intuitive and easy-to-use the Slidea platform is, even for first-time users.
Student Feedback
The response from students was incredibly positive.
Some of their experiences are given below:
- “It was my first experience in a live quiz session”
- “I really enjoyed learning through Slidea”
- “Can you conduct more sessions like this in the future?”
Students expressed that Slidea made learning more fun and easier to understand, especially because everything was presented visually.
Feedback from the Educators
Mentors at St. Louis College also found Slidea to be a valuable and engaging tool for teaching.
They noted that interactive features like quizzes and visual participation can help improve engagement and understanding for students with hearing and speech disabilities.
For educators, Slidea provided a way to connect with students more effectively and make classroom learning more interactive.
The Impact
This session demonstrated how interactive technology can make learning more inclusive and enjoyable.
Slidea transformed a simple quiz into a shared learning experience where every student could actively participate.
For students who face challenges with hearing-based learning, Slidea’s visual and interactive format helped address one of their biggest learning barriers by making questions, answers, and participation completely visual and easy to follow.
Most importantly, it showed that when learning is visual, interactive, and simple, students feel more confident, involved, and excited to learn.
Looking Forward
The students at St. Louis College expressed a strong interest in having more learning sessions with Slidea in the future.
For us, this experience was not just a demo of a platform; it was a reminder that interactive tools like Slidea can open new learning opportunities for every student.
Seeing the joy and excitement in the classroom was a powerful moment and one we hope to repeat many more times.
